How we calculate event content ROI
What is the Content Multiplier?
The content multiplier shows how much additional ROI your event generates because of the content system built around it. A 2.5× multiplier means your content-amplified event delivers 2.5× the return of the same event without content investment.
Why do content leads matter differently than event leads?
Event leads are bounded by the event itself: you can only reach the people in the room. Content leads are unbounded — they come from people who discovered your brand, your speakers, or your organization through the content published afterward. These audiences would never have been in the room.
What view count should I use?
For a first-year estimate, we recommend 200K–500K for events under 1,000 attendees with solid social distribution, and 500K–1.5M for large events with a built-in audience. Our clients typically see 30–60% of total views come from the highlight film alone.
Is this model proven?
The variables in this model are based on our direct experience across events we have produced. Every claim in our case studies is verifiable. That said, your results will depend on your specific audience, content quality, and distribution effort.
